All the way from Canada, we have my amazing friend Gabby Dickert here with us today. Gabby is the Shopify expert and the founder of GD Commerce, a web development and online marketing agency that focuses on pushing the Shopify platform to do things that it doesn't natively do.
As an ex-Merchant Success Manager at Shopify, working with enterprise-level, multi-million dollar e-commerce companies, Gabby Dickert was able to see what the top performers were doing to differentiate their brands online. In her interview, some of those insights were revealed along with diving into how to best leverage Shopify's platform and build an automated welcome flow for your business.
Favorite Takeaways From This Episode:
Whether your business is e-commerce or service-based, email campaigns are an important tool to take advantage of to grow your business. People are often hesitant to embrace emailing. But once they do, they often see the greatest return in terms of marketing because it’s free.
A misconception that business owners often have is that when a customer joins your email list, they automatically know everything there is to know about your business. The truth is, just because a customer joins your email list, doesn’t mean they know anything about what you do or sell.
Automation is a lifesaver in your business. Any repetitive tasks most likely can be automated to get rid of mundane tasks that you don’t have time for. Other forms of automation in email flows include: emails that encourage customers to spend more money, and customer retention focused emails.
Gabby also shared her top Shopify hacks for making the most of your emails and your site. One of those hacks is to make sure you’re considering the functionality of your site when choosing a theme. Focus on customer perspective and understand what the customer will do when they’re on your site.
Last but certainly not least, Gabby shared an awesome Shopify offer to get an unlimited development period on any new site.
